To tell the truth, I really can't get into watching my own performances. It's just...weird.
There are a few blogs that mention me and stuff I do. There's also been a few academic articles written about my performances that you can find, if you have an interest, and some documentary footage of my work, most recently in the film "Speaking for Myself" by Bert Shapiro.
I perform as a solo poet, as an actor and I collaborate a lot with others as a sound artist/sound poet/ vocalist.
I have a few bands I work with. Two of Elliott Sharp's, Terraplane and Electric Willie and my own band, The Tracie Morris Band.
I'm also committed to doing more sound installations/performances. So far, my gallery/museum 'environments' have been installed at the Whitney Museum, the Jamaica Center for Art and Learning, the Ron Feldman Gallery and at the Drawing Center where I opened the gallery space as a performer for an exhibit by the great visual artist Ellen Gallagher.
If you want to know what shows are coming up, just go to my homepage. I'm getting pretty good at keeping it updated now that I have this site up and running!
